The truth is I’ve been ruined.
Ruined by the depth of God’s Gospel of Grace.
There’s no part of my life that the Gospel hasn’t infiltrated – and if there are parts in me not yet shattered by the Gospel, it’s only a matter of time before those give way too.
Ruined…
…and so happy!
As simply as I know how to explain this, I’ve been completely liberated by God’s unconditional love.
Jesus said His yoke is light and His burden is easy. He also said the only thing I must do is believe.
Sounds simple.
On this side of believing it seems like such a no-brainer, but maybe that’s why it’s so hard for some to see. It looks like blind faith. Well, it’s far from that and I hope in my ongoing writing here I’ll show you that this is far from blind faith.
Or, for others, their view of God is an angry vengeful God. There’s truth to that thought – He is holy. And holiness doesn’t mix well with sinfulness. Yet, Jesus said if you’ve seen me you’ve seen the Father. Elsewhere, it’s said that Jesus is the exact representation of the Father.
So, what did Jesus reveal about the Father?
That He will go to great lengths to reveal His love for us. He is for us and not against us.
We also see that those who recognize their lives are a train wreck loved being around Jesus.
And this is why I’ve been ruined by the Gospel of God’s grace. The more I see how messed up I am, the more I see God’s grace not just cover me, but lift me up.
He calls me “friend,” He calls me “son” …and I call Him “Daddy.”
Lets talk about it –
How do you view God?
What’s your experience with God’s unconditional grace?
Thanks Dave. I’m overjoyed to be the King’s kid. Looking forward to reading your blogs.
